Description

A Roman burial was reported to the Museum on 8/10/1951. It was found while cutting a trench for a drain along the east side of the fence just west of a short row of lock up garages on the north side of Honeywood Road. A red cross on a 1939 OS map in the Museum, appears to mark the spot. The group of five vessels was set close together, the urn contained burnt bones.<1>
