Description

Belgic burial found in the Colchester Cemetery, exact location is not known 'Also a Bowl of brown-black Belgic ware, form 212 almost whole; three fragments terra rubra bowl form 56, stamped xan; the most part of a white flagon form 136 in small fragments; the most part of a pipeclay beaker form 114 with herring bone ornament and painted rim and shoulder COLEM1954.350-353. Found in Colchester Town Cemetery about 18/6/1951 and given to A.F. Hall on that date; passed onto museum by him on behalf of the Grammar School' (Hull's Grave Group No 615).<1>
