Description

Two urns were found separately, some yards apart, when building the New Technical School in Sheepen Road in 1952. The position was a little south of the Dogs Home. One of the vessels was found in a tile cist. The finds are owned by Essex County Council.<1><2> An entry in the Accession Register also notes that the base of an Iron Age pedestal Urn (form 202/3) was found on the site but the location is not given COLEM 1952.68.<3>
