Description
A geotechnical site investigation was undertaken ahead of a proposed extension to the Oaks Drive Nursing Home. Two boreholes were drilled and seven test pits excavated. These revealed a general sequence of topsoil over sands and gravels although test pit 3 on the southern edge of the site showed layers of peat with clay pockets. Nothing of archaeological significance noted.<1>
