Description
Six boreholes were drilled as part of a site investigation on land adjacent to Greenstead Road. The boreholes revealed topsoil overlying an alluvial clay which in turn overlay river terrace sands and gravels. These were underlain by the London Clay. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted.<1>
