Description
Two trial holes were excavated on land next to 55 Margaret Road ahead of development on the site. The soil was found to be fairly uniform across the site, although it varied in depth. Beneath the topsoil, clay gave way to gravel at a depth of 2.1m. The water table was reached at a depth of 2.0m. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted.<1>
