Description
A single trial hole was excavated on the former Trident Motors site along Military Road. the site was covered in concrete but beneath this the site was found to be covered by a layer of modern 'fill' beneath which is the original topsoil and then sand, all of which was polluted by oil to a depth of 1.6 metres. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted.<1>
