Description
Two trial holes were excavated on a site at Ladbrokes Drive ahead of redevelopment. The soil was shown to be very uniform in nature across the site. Beneath a layer of topsoil 0.4m thick, silty sand give way to medium dense sand below 0.65m depth continuing to at least 2.25m depth. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted.<1>
