Description
Two trenches were machine-dug for an archaeological evaluation of the site of a new building at the Territorial Army Centre. A total of 53 square metres was examined. Overall the ground appeared to have been heavily disturbed by modern service trenches and wall foundations although a single fragment of Roman roof tile was recovered. A watching brief was recommended for the future development of the site.<1>
