Description
A fourth trench was dug as part of the evaluation of the Charrington's Transport site, Spurgeon Street, Colchester (see ECC1988). The trench was located toward the centre of the former depot area. It measured 20.5m long x 2.0m wide x approx. 2.2m deep (2.5m at the east end). Nothing of archaeological significance was recovered.<1>
