Description
Thirteen small test pits, dug by Engineering consultants in various parts of the garrison grounds, were monitored over a period of three days. Two features of indeterminate but possibly early date were recorded. <1> The locations were Ypres Road (TL99572362), East of Victoria House (TL99742383), Abbey Field (TL99752149), Somme Road (TL99132361), Kirkee McMunn Barracks (TL98522304), Roman Way Camp (south) (TL99532205), Roman Way Camp (north) (TL99632263), Cavalry Barracks (TL99112426), Goojerat Barracks (TL99012371), Le Cateau Barracks (TL99232457), Flagstaff House (TL99832455), Hyderabad Barracks (next to Military Road gate) (TM00322437). Hyderabad Barracks (opposite MEE 38 building) (TM00272449). <1>
