Description
A watching brief was undertaken at the TA centre, Berechurch Road, Colchester where topsoil was taken off over 30 x 50m area of proposed building by mechanical excavator (toothed bucket). Nothing was seen of interest, the excavation was not quite deep enough to penetrate modern deposits masking natural (and / or any archaeological remains). <1>
