Description

Urn of hard grey ware found in the garden of Cedarholme and Silver Birches in Lexden Road on the west side and near the road. The grave was about three feet deep and the urn was closed by a small piece of clunch.<1> Given by Mr T.S.Smith COLEM 1935.396<2> According to Benham's Almanac Cedarholme is No 9 Lexden Road, although according to a Sales Particular dating to 1934, in Essex Record Office (D/DJ 2/12/22), Cedarholme was No 3, Lexden Road (35m to the east of 9).
