Description
A watching brief was maintained during redevelopment work at No's 2-6 Long Wyre Street. Several stanchion holes were excavated by contractors and observations were made of the archaeology. Workmen reported an east-west Roman foundation in one stanchion and a second was observed 2.5m further south.<1>
