Description

Large urn of dark grey ware, with latticed bulge on shoulder; it contained burnt bones and was covered by a samian platter; with it were three buff flagons and two coarse-ware lamp-holders, one in fragments. Found in reducing the level of the garden of Errington Lodge on Lexden Road. The three flagons were deposited on their sides, radially round the urn with the necks directed inwards. Deposited by the Air Ministry.<1> COLEM 1959.72-78.<2>
