Description

In a lecture on St Peter's Parish P.G. Laver said 'on the site of Messrs Simkin's furniture warehouse certain ovens etc were found suggesting a glass blower's works'.<1> Also a photograph of a kiln on this site was given to the museum. It showed a small kiln of 13th or 14th century date. <2>
