Description
A watching brief was held at No's 22/30 Southway during the construction of an office building. Foundations were dug to 3m but revealed no significant archaeological features and failed to reach natural strata. The exceptional depth of deposits is presumably due to the gradual filling of the Chiswell Valley, within which the site lies.<1>
