Description
A watching brief was held during the construction of an extension to an existing building. Substantial quantities of soil were stripped from the site during the erection of terraces for the extension. No archaeological features were observed apart from a small patch of burnt sandy clay loam between the topsoil and the natural sand. "The latter may have been Roman."<1>
