Description
A watching brief was maintained during the construction of an extension to the Boys High School. A small foundation trench 0.95m deep was dug in the west side of the school. The upper 0.15m was playground surface which overlay 0.8m of dark brown sandy loam containing a scatter of bone fragments. These proved too small to establish whether they were human or not."<1>
