Description

A handwritten note in the paper Colchester SMR records a spread of Roman pottery from the site of the New Fire Station in 1943. The pottery included fragments of Roman amphora and fine wares (see paper SMR for more details).<1> Hull mentions this site briefly recording that the pottery 'was all of the period A.D.5-60'. <1>
