Description

Recovery of various Roman artefacts during clearance of the present Hippodrome site. Finds in 1903 included a hollow tile built into Roman foundations, 2 coins of Claudius, 2 coins of Vespasian, a coin of Hadrian, and coins of Cl.Gothicus; Carausius; Allectus; Constantine Gt.; Valens and four illegible bronze.<1>
