Description
CHAPPEL SWAN STREET 1. 5214 (east side) Puttocks Farmhouse TL 82 NE 6/18 II 2. C16 house with later additions, part brick. Street range of painted brick in Flemish bond, of 2 storeys and 3 bays. Central front door in round headed recess with deep reveals of fielded panelling - fanlight over, with festoons. Two windows on ground storey, hornless 8 pane sashes, 2 windows on first storey with 4 panes over 8, and central one with 3 panes over 6. Dentilled brick eaves, gabled, peg-tiled roof. Red brick chimney at south end, chimney in return of plan. Timber building at rear of 2 storeys and one bay, peg-tiled roof and modern windows. A crown-post is visible on east end. Plan a 'T'.
