Description
1. BALKERNE GARDENS 995 PROVIDENT PLACE

2. Block of almshouses built in 1837 in an open garden. There are C19 and modern additions. The original building contained 5 blocks and is now a terrace of 12 dwellings, some alterations internally. 2 storeys, grey gault brick, the roofs of slates. The and and 4th block break forward slightly under a pediment. All the ground floor windows have arched heads, and all have double hung sashes with glazing bars.
