Description

The terraced workers housing were built by the Courtauld Family (Dr. Richard Minton Courtauld. They are built in the Arts and Crafts style inspired by the Surrey Cottage vernacular. The short terraces are well composed and reflect the picturesque national interwar housing trends that owed much to the Lutyens school of architects such as Oswold Milne. The terraced workers cottages are a good example of 1930’s interwar housing with a strong connection to the Courtauld family.
