Description
(Jaggers' 2007 list, Study Area 2, pp.21 & 37)
Part of Headgate House (see entry under 2-4 Headgate, east side). This part of the building included the Liberal Club Hall, but the Liberals could not afford such a large building and it became the Electric Cinema which closed in the 1970s when it was called the Cameo.[RS]
Arthur Askey's first paid performance was at this venue.[RS]
