2. Built in the C16 but much restored. External character remains though most of the detail is gone. 2 storeys, attics and cellars, the roofs tiled. The upper storey projects on the west and south sides.
The Clarence Inn forms a group with No 1 Eld Lane, The Scheregate, Scheregate and Nos 18 to 22 (consec) and No 26
