House. C15, extended to the east C19 and with further C20 extensions. Timber-framed with rendered and colourwashed brick extensions; thatched roofs.
EXTERIOR: 3-bay C15 timber-framed house aligned east-west, the east bay absorbed into a C19 cross wing. North front of C15 build of 2 storeys. Principal and corner studs of heavy scantling supporting a middle rail and wall plate. Upper storey with exposed secondary studs. 2 ground-floor and 2 first-floor casements: all windows in the house are late C20 timber casements. West gable end of similar construction but with additional curved braces to the upper floor; one 2-light ground-floor window. South return similar to north, with one 3-light casement to ground floor, a 2-light version to first floor, and a 2-light casement fitted to a later dormer over the wall plate. Hipped roof. Ridge stack of C17 stretcher bond brick formerly the east gable-end stack.
Half-hipped C19 wing attached at right angles to the east of the C15 house, with a nearly full-length outshut to the east. C20 plank door under a C20 sloping porch roof. Fenestration of 2- and 3-light casements. Gabled dormer to east roof slope, with a 2-light casement.
Single-storey late C20 gabled extension abuts to north of the C19 wing. Late C20 conservatory abuts south end.
