II
Swiss Cottage/garden house c1900. Prefabricated timber building with slate gabled roof and stained decorative weatherboarding. Of one storey with balcony on front and part flanks, now partially dismantled. Front has central door with fanlight and windows with sliding external shutters with decorative piercings. Decorative brackets to eaves and boarded gable infill with double curved infill. Similar shuttered window in flanks and rear wall red brick stack. Plaster cast of Parthenon frieze on rear wall. Boarded interior with marqueting frieze and rear wall fireplace. Thought to have been imported in kit form.
