LAYER BRETON LAYER BRETON HILL 1. 5214 Layer Breton Lodge TL 91 NW 16/47 II 2. Early C19 house, facing south, 2 storeys in painted brick with grey slate hipped roof. Five window range vertical sliding double hung sashes in gauged arches, with modern shutters. Pedimented doorcase with moulded architraves. Square plan, with red brick internal chimney stacks. West front is 3 window range original sashes, lean-to extension on west side. Single storey late C19 extension with flat roof on east side. Truncated 2 storey extension to north. One window range. Good early C19 detailing throughout. C18 red brick wall with original buttresses and gault brick ridged coping.
