LAYER BRETON LAYER BRETON HILL 1. 5214 Layer Breton Hall TL 91 NW 16/51 II* 2. Mid C18 red brick house, with red plain tile hipped roof. Two storeys and attics. Square plan with central chimney stacks. East front 3 window range, double hung, vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars, in gauged arches. South front also 3 window range, double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars, in gauged arches. Fine pediment doorcase with semi-circular fanlight over. East front has flat canopied doorcase, with pilasters, decorated fanlight and 6 panel door. Good period detailing remains internally, including fire-place surrounds and staircase.
