LITTLE HORKESLEY NAYLAND ROAD 1. 5214 Old Josselyns TL 93 SE 3/9 (formerly listed as 23.6.52 Joscelyns) II* GV 2. C16 house on an attenuated H-plan with additions to the north and aligned north-east, to south-west. Frontage of 2 storeys with long wall jetty on knees without pilasters, the east cross-wing continues the long jetty and the west wing projects one bay forward and is unjettied. West gable jettied and with finely cut vine trail on tie-beam dated 1928. Roofs ridged and gabled peg tiled. Extension to west. Red brick chimney stack (recent) in return of west wing. To east of whole house a 2 storey timber building with exposed frame, contiguous. Wind braces stud to stud on outer faces. Hall range 4 bays long, with modern copies of oriel windows, correctly moulded south elevation has 2 red brick chimney stacks at south, and a long flat roofed extension full length. Inside a fine Macquetrie chimney piece, this tripartite. An entire house on an L-plan, with 2 parallel stems at right angles to the main axis, it is of recent red brick and attached to the north-east of Josselyns, 2 storeys, and has exposed reproduction, timber framing on first storey. This may be a modern addition containing old elements.
