Description
WORMINGFORD BURES ROAD 1. 5214 TL 93 SW 2/30 The Crown Public House II 2. C16 and of one and a half bays with exposed timber frame and plaster infill, with 3 bay extension of circa 1700 on the west end. Two storeys, the ground storey walled in red brick, range of 6 windows, with 6 pane sashes central front door. Three sets of 3, 3-pane casements on the first storey. Roof ridged and gabled with a central red brick chimney stack, modern stack at east end. Good oak joists in ground-storey ceiling. The Crown Inn appears on deed of "Uppergrounds" dated 1691 (RCHM 11).
