WIVENHOE HIGH STREET 1. 5214 (east side) The Falcon (formerly listed as The Falcon Public House TM 0321 30/22 12.1.73 (and adjoining cottage)) II GV 2. C17 and earlier. Front (west) a red brick range in Flemish-bond with a slated catslide roof, hipped at south end. Two storeys. Door central on ground storey under a scrolled stucco hood. Semi-hexagonal bay window each side of it with small-paned sashes. Three part sashes on first storey, small-paned under keys toned stucco arches. A range at the rear (south) with C17 exposed timber frame surmounting an early C15 ground storey frame that has an underbuilt jetty. Roof pegtiled with eaves. Four modern sashes on first storey. A modern pedimented front door centrally, another on the left. Three semi-hexagonal bay windows with pegtiled conoid roofs and modern sashes.
