Description
WEST MERSEA EAST ROAD 1. 5214 TM 01 SW 23/7 Peartree Cottage II 2. Dated: 1741 house, Of 2 storeys, red brick in Flemish-bond with blue-glazed headers, first-floor band, parapetted gables both ends and ridged pegtiled roof. Two inset, gable chimney stacks. Door right of centre, leaf of 4 panels beneath a leaded hood. Small-paned sashes one pair to right of door under a straight gauged head and another pair central on first storey - all exposed boxes. Remainder: modern small-pane casements 2 on first storey and 2 left of door on ground storey. To gabled dormers on north slope each with modern casements. A single storeyed ridged extension to the east. Two plaques on front wall are 'TC' and one 1791.
