Description
MARKS TEY HALL CHASE 1. 5214 (south of A12) Marks Tey Hall TL 92 SW 11/15 23.6.52 II 2. Mainly C16 with earlier and later parts timber-framed house on H-plan with 2 storeys and attics throughout, plastered, with guilloche band at first floor level. Modern 'Tudor' porch and one facade gable on north front. Right cross-wing has a lean-to on its east flank which contains one Elizabethan round-headed and keystoned casement. All windows leaded casements. Roofs ridged and gabled, peg-tiled, with 3 red brick chimney stacks. Former moated site. (RCHM 2).
