Description
MARKS TEY COGGESHALL ROAD 1. 5214 The Red Lion Public House TL 82 SE 10/42 II 2. Circa 1600 house of 5 bays and 2 storeys, framed in timber and plastered with ridged and gabled roof clad with peg-tiles. Two end chimney stacks and a third placed off-centre to the length. First storey has a range of 4 windows (mixed sliders and casements). Ground storey with leaded flat verandah of full length beneath which are 3 semi-hexagonal bow windows with small paned sashes, some of which are hornless, and 2 front doors. Oaken frame visible inside, particularly the joists of the first floor.
