Full Description

During excavations at Culver Street between 1981-2 & 1984-5, a probable early Roman oven or furnace was discovered (CAT EF1362) which together with other ovens (MCC750 and MCC751) and features (MCC773) represented activity during the construction phase of the Legionary Fortress (MCC477).<1>
