Early 16th century house.

RCHME survey of 36 East Street. 'House...was built probably late in the 15th or early in the 16th century. The upper storey projects in front on curved brackets'<1>

DOE Survey of No 36 East Street. Grade II. Small C16 house with gable to the front. Two storeys and attics, the roofs tiled. Moulded barge boards to the gable. Small C19 ground floor shop bay window. <2>
