Full Description

16th century almshouses, now demolished.

The RCHME surveyed the rebuilt Finch Almshouses which stood in 1922. It noted that the almshouses had been completely rebuilt however 'reset at the end of the courtyard is a 17th century stone tablet recording the foundation by Ralph Finch in 1552' . The almshouses and the stone are now gone.<1>
