Full Description

RCHME survey of House and shop at corner of Museum Street (106 High Street). The house 'is of two storeys with attics, timber-framed and plastered; the roofs are tiled. It was built in the 16th century. The upper storey projects on the S and W sides and has a curved diagonal bracket at the angle. In the cellar of the building is a fragment of brick and rubble walling. Condition - Good, much altered.'<1>

The DOE survey lumps No's 105 & 106 High Street together. Grade II. Two small C17 buildings with ground floor shops. Two storey and attics, timber-framed and plastered, the roof tiled. The upper storey projects on the south and west sides of No 106 and there is a curved diagonal bracket at the angle.<2>
