Full Description

During excavations on the site of the new Anglia Water offices at Balkerne Hill (ECC570) Roman coins and pottery were found indicating the likely proximity of Roman deposits at 7m A.O.D. Roman layers of brown organic sandy loam sealed water-logged gravel.<1>
