Full Description

During observations of a pipe trench in Castle Park, 1983 (ECC375), a gravelled surface was discovered which may have represented the edge of a north-south Roman street dividing Insulas 6 and 7. Alternatively the surface may have been from a yard area of a house associated with the Roman wall foundations in close proximity to it (see MCC1280, MCC1281, MCC1282).<1>
