Full Description

During observation of a pipe trench in Castle Park (ECC375) the remains of a Roman infant burial were discovered within a make-up deposit beneath a gravelled surface, probably of a house or edge of a north-south street (see MCC1284). The burial was situated 5m to the west of a wall foundation (MCC1282).<1>
