Full Description

During excavations at Culver Street between 1981-2 and 1984-5 (ECC337), an east-west footway was discovered situated between a building (MCC924) and an east-west street (MCC733). The south side of the footway survived as a stretch of mortared foundation, the east end of which incorporated a channel which was probably an outlet for a timber drain.<1>
