Description

RCHME survey of 48-51 East Hill. The house 'was built early in the 16th century and has a 17th century addition at the back. The upper storey in front has exposed timber-framing and formerly projected, but has been under built. There are two original windows under the eaves with moulded frames and mullions. Inside the building one of the middle tenements has richly moulded original ceiling-beams and joists both on the ground and first floors.
