Description

RCHME survey of 34 Northgate Street. 'House, now tenements. The walls are of red brick. It was built c1620 on an L-shaped plan with the wings extending towards the W. and N. The storeys are divided by a moulded brick string and the eaves-cornice has shaped modillions also of brick. There are many original windows which formerly had moulded mullions and square moulded labels; some are now blocked but one, on the E side, is of four lights/ Condition-bad'.<1>
