Description

RCHME survey of No 69-72 High Street. The building 'is of three storeys, partly timber-framed and partly of brick; the roofs are tiled. The back wing of the front block was built early in the 17th century and further South is a block of the same date and formerly detached; the block between these is probably of late 17th century date and early in the 18th century the block fronting the street was rebuilt. There are extensive modern additions. The N front is of brick and has an early 18th century moulded band between the two lower storeys. Inside the building are some 17th century ceiling beams and two doorways of the same date with heavy frames. Condition - Good'.<1>
