Description
DOE survey of No's 1 & 2 Scheregate. Grade II. C17 timber-framed and plastered building. Two storeys, attics and cellars. The roofs are tiled and there is a coved plaster eaves cornice on the west front. Two modern ground floor shops. Oval date panel on the front 1692. Possible invisible remains of Roman Town Wall incorporated in the foundations of No2.<1>
