Description

DOE survey of No 54 Head Street. Grade II*. Early C17 house with good red brick front of 1774. Two storeys, attics and cellar, timber framed and plastered, the roofs tiled. The roof behind the front has 2 pairs of small hipped gables. The west front has a parapet, modillioned brick cornice, 5 window range of double hung sashes, the central upper window blocked and with a shouldered brick architrave; central door case with open pediment head and decorated pilasters, semi-circular fanlight and panelled reveals, 6 panel door. <1>
