Description

Laver notes, 'Near the Bath Hotel, in the middle of Osborne Street, in excavating for the electric light works, a red tessellated pavement was discovered, about 4ft from the surface. It was formed of rather large red tesserae, many of them being 1.5" square'.<1><2><3>
